The Opportunity
Vermilion Energy has an exciting opportunity within the North American Operations Accounting, seeking a Sr. Accounts Payable Analyst . Based in Calgary, AB, this role will report directly to the Supervisor, Accounts Payable and be an integral part of the Accounts Payable team. This position will play a critical role in providing proactive service and ensuring accurate, on-time vendor payments. The successful candidate will join a team that values its people and provides work with purpose.
What you will do
Review and index invoices in Powervision and SAP – VIM ensuring accuracy of data
Assist with invoice coding when required
Request new supplier/vendor setups
Monitor the Accounts Payable inbox and respond to invoice queries
Complete account reconciliations on a monthly basis
Interact and communicate with multiple departments
Review quick pay invoices ensuring that they are paid as soon as possible
Assist with submitting credit applications
Other duties as assigned
What you will bring
Enthusiasm, with a knack to build and maintain strong relationships
Excellent time management skills, with the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Effective and professional verbal and written communicate skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Previous experience with SAP and VIM would be an asset but not required
