POSITION
DESCRIPTION:
Reporting to the Director of Finance & Health Information, the Finance-Data Analyst will be an integral member of both of our fast paced analytical teams. The incumbent will perform a range of accounting activities including but not limited to journal entries, account reconciliation and various other analysis as well as generate and structure clinical and financial data from existing sources both internal and external so it is ready for analysis.
This role also includes compiling metrics from various sources and distributing for weekly leadership review.
This position will work closely with both the Finance and Decision Support teams and support the analysts within these roles
HOURS:
Monday to Friday, 37.50 hours per week. Occasional evening and weekend work when required to meet deadlines.
SKILLS &
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
College diploma in areas such as Accounting;
Finance;
Clinical Health Informatics is required;
Minimum (2) years of work experience within health information or finance department, in a healthcare setting;
Ability to
multi-task with different priorities in a fast paced environment.
Ability to
adhere to both internal and external deadlines.
Experience with
MOHLTC/LHIN reporting, MIS Guidelines (MIS level I), preferred
High proficiency using Microsoft Office programs, primarily Excel, Word and PowerPoint, Tableau, Crystal Report Writer
Excellent analytical, mathematical and creative problem-solving skills;
Demonstrated effective communication, interpersonal skills, and organizational skills;
Logical and efficient, with a keen attention to detail;
Highly self-directed and able to make decisions;
Ability to
effectively prioritize and execute tasks through highly developed time management skills;
